Why do I need website support?
Think of a WordPress website much like a house. It requires constant care, maintenance, and security to function optimally – especially as time goes on. Our website support plans are designed to keep your site running smoothly, securely, and up-to-date.
What happens if I don’t run updates on my site?
Eventually your software (theme, plugins, WordPress core) will become out of date. Best case scenario is that you’ll have performance/display issues, and worst case scenario is the site will be hacked/exploited due to security vulnerabilities – which becomes more likely as time goes on. This is especially dangerous if you store any sensitive customer data on the site (contact forms, ecommerce orders, etc)
Can I opt out of website support, and handle the maintenance myself?
Technically, yes you can manage your own website. However if you want to use our hosting, then we require that you subscribe to one of these plans. From our experience, letting a non web developer handle this critical task is problematic – and eventually ends up costing our clients more because of the issues that can occure from a poorly managed site.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. However we do require support plans for all of our hosted sites. So if you cancel your site, then you will be required to move your website to another web server of your choice for hosting. We are happy to provide recommendations based on your situation if so.
Do you guarantee full protection?
No, we cannot promise there will never be any issues. Even tech giants like Meta, Google, etc have security exploitations. It’s the nature of the web. That being said, we use best practices and take numerous precautious measures to minimize the risk of your site. And we have a great track record of secure site management.
What happens if my site gets hacked?
In the rare case of an exploitation, we can usually apply a rollback or update to your site to resolve the issue and not charge. In some edges cases there may be additional costs for malware removal, though this is very uncommon.
I already have my own server or hosting solution. Do you offer support plans?
Yes, we can, and do support websites that are not hosted on our company server. Pricing may vary depending on your server. Contact us for more info.
